Call for Special Sessions
Special Sessions (SSs) are 5-paper sessions running in parallel to the regular sessions. They provide an opportunity to discuss emerging topics, which are not included in the list of conference technical tracks. These sessions will broaden the knowledge base of attendees, helping them stay updated with recent advances in the electrical machines domain.
Guidelines for SS Organizers
Potential special session organizers should submit their SS proposals in .doc format. The special session proposals should include the following information (also reflected in the SS Proposal Template):
- Title of the Special Session;
- Names, affiliations and email addresses of the special session organizers;
- Abstract (up to 500 words) describing the area of research and clearly addressing the scenario and motivation of the research, and the expected contributions;
- Topics of interest.
Once approved, the SS Organizers will publicize the SS among researchers and practitioners in the field. At least 5 accepted papers are required for the SS to take place. Organizers cannot submit more than 2 papers to their own Special Sessions.
The SS organizers of the respective special sessions are responsible for organizing the review process, assuring at least three reviews per paper. This includes selection of reviewers from their peers.
Guidelines for SS Paper Authors
The deadline for paper submissions is the same as for regular papers. Papers submitted to special sessions will follow the same review process as regular papers, and will be published on IEEE Xplore Digital Library, after the conference. The same rules of all reviewed and presented papers apply to SS papers, also in terms of post-conference publication.
Deadline for SS Proposals: December 1, 2025.
