VISA INFORMATION

All international participants must hold valid identification and travel documents to enter Portugal. Each participant is responsible for arranging the appropriate visa, in accordance with the applicable laws of the country.

We strongly recommend that participants verify, as early as possible, the entry requirements that apply to their specific situation. Visa applications should ideally be submitted at least 1 to 2 months prior to the planned travel date.

VISA INVITATION LETTER

Upon request, ICEM 2026 can provide a visa invitation letter, provided that the participant has completed the registration payment.

To request a visa invitation letter, please send an email to icem2026@ubi.pt including the following information:

• Full name (as stated on the passport);
• Passport number;
• Email address;
• Registration confirmation number;
• If applicable, the title of the accepted paper and indication of whether you are the sole author or a co-author.

Please note that invitation letters will be issued in digital format only. ICEM 2026 cannot be held responsible for any visa-related issues or delays, nor can it influence or expedite the visa process conducted by embassies, consulates, or the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
